About Resurrection Christian Academy

Resurrection Christian Academy (RCA) is a small private elementary school (Pre-JK-Gr.8) in Guelph, Ontario.  

RCA is committed to providing its students with the opportunity to learn in a safe, caring, Christian environment.  Class sizes are limited (15 max.) to ensure individual attention, and personalised teaching appropriate for their wide and varying learning needs.  Students at RCA are given the opportunity to reach for their own personal excellence through a range of core and extracurricular academic, athletic, music, art, and community service programs.
 
RCA is a unique Christian school in which each child is encouraged to reflect Jesus' love daily by being a friend, a leader, and a mentor to others.  Students are encouraged to work to their highest academic capacity through the teaching of foundational skills in mathematics and language arts (including grammar, spelling, handwriting, and mental arithmetic), and critical thinking skills in science and social studies.  The students' educational experience is enriched through the daily teaching of French, plus the incorporation of educational computer and internet driven programs for all ages.

The RCA athletic program offers all the students the chance to try a full range of sports in our well equipped, full sized gym.  Students from Grade 1-8 swim weekly during the fall and the summer and have the opportunity to try curling during the winter term.   The Kindgarten students are in the gym daily for fun activities to improve their co-ordination, balance, and gross motor skills.

Chapel is held weekly on Wednesday mornings and we have been excited to welcome many wonderful speakers and representatives from our supported charities to speak to the students.  Students' musical abilities are encouraged through participation in our worship team, choir, Christmas musical, and weekly music lessons.

God has blessed RCA richly thus far, we have amazing students, committed teachers, and engaged parents - we are a small school that is more like a large family. The staff and faculty feel privileged to partner with parents to raising a generation of young leaders who will make a difference in the community and the world.
